José Maria Leal Barros founded LEAL JÚNIOR. In 1977, he began his activity as a carver. Then, in 1980, he became to dedicate to the manufacture of furniture for resale. Only in 1986 he directs his activity of selling furniture and lamps to the general public.
Deolinda Sousa arrived to the company in January 1987. By that time, the company started to gain a new boost, a new dynamic, making its goal more defined, targeted to the trade of lamps and decoration.
Each piece… each painting… each decorative ornament has the right to its space and to “its moment” to shine.
Remain as a reference company in the lighting and decoration sector.
The need to distinguish themselves, by offering quality products and innovative design, leads them to visit international fairs looking for new markets and new suppliers. Therefore, they achieve the exclusive commercialization of high-quality products in the international decoration and lighting. Gradually, LEAL JÚNIOR became the main importer and representative of lamps in Portugal, being also a respected costumer by national and international suppliers.
Receiving customers in a modern and large space, filled with refinement and good taste, was another goal achieved at the end of 2006, with the expansion and renovation of the exhibition building. Here we value the products! We value the space! We value the customer!
